HOTELS IN FRANCE
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK ?
If you book really early, you will often be able to benefit from Early Birds offers. It is also the best way to choose the room and the hotel you will like the most.
Booking last minute could be tricky. On the French Riviera, hotels are fully booked in summer. They will be also more expensive since you won't have any offer or discount at busy periods.
WHICH KIND OF HOTEL SHOULD I BOOK ?
If you decide to spend just one or two nights in a hotel, and don't want to spend a lot, 3 stars hotels are the best option. They are very clean, staff will speak english, and you will have the basic amenities.
But for a longer stay, if you want to be comfortable after all your visits, or if you wish to relax, I advise you either 4 stars hotels or 5 stars hotels.
Prices depend on the season, the location, the number of stars, the size of the hotel.
WHAT HOTELS DO YOU RECOMMEND ?
One of my criteria is to book in independent hotels. If you want to learn more about French people, that's how you will manage. I love working with people who care about their business and most important, care about their customer.
I understand you may feel more comfortable in a hotel chain, but you will find the same hotel anywhere in the world.
As a local travel expert, I go and tour hotels to know exactly where you will be staying.
I tour as often as I can. If I didn't see the hotel, I will be in touch with them before any recommendation and will learn more about how you will be received.
No matter the category, as long as I am sure that you will be welcomed as friends would be !
